Is it a good idea to start the social network profiles before the launch?

Hello guys,
Im currently working in a niche jobs board, so Im wondering if it is a good idea to start already working with the social network to raise some audience before the web platform launch ...

But I don`t know if it is a good idea or if it is better to wait and start working on social networks and audience only after the platform launch...

What do you think about it?

Definitely not a bad idea to get them started! That being said, I agree with @alvivanco that the product should be your priority. But yeah, start the socials and set em up!

Yes. everything adds up. It takes significant time to do it right though.

It's helpful to have a twitter handle so people can mention your product and follow.

Yes, it can be a better idea. Create social network profiles before the launch. If you have time I would recommend

    1. Create the landing page and start collecting the email
    2. Start writing articles related to the domain and share in social media (this is subject to the availability time of the founder)

The priority should be on launching the product.

But your "social" strategy should already have started; and by that I mean obtaining the emails of people that are your target audience to see if they are really interested in the product you are building.

e.g. "Are you looking for a job in ABC industry? Sign up to Wilson's Emailing list to be notified when our ABC job board goes live."

Great man, yes, you are right. I need to put my focus on finishing my product! In the meantime, I will create a landing page and get some emails.
      Thanks!
