Is it a landing for a book?

Hey fellow hackers!

As one of my latest projects, I decided to write a book. It's called "E-mails from an old bug to a young one" and I guess it describes nicely the essence: it's about bugs sharing advices on how to wreak havoc.

While creating the landing page (and blog, etc.) I decided to use a domain that the bugs in my book use to send e-mails from (bugf.org → Bugs United Globally Foundation).

So the challenge here was: how to make the site look partially like a valid site for the bugs foundation and yet describe that it's a book, and invite people to read it?

Currently, the book info is not present directly on the landing page, one needs to navigate to the /about page. There is just a banner describing this.

What do you think about the site? Should I go more with exposing the book info on the homepage? Or did I balance it well?

Any feedback is welcome: the good, the bad... the "I don't know" too :)

Cheers!

I think you've done a good job with adding the "rumor alert".
What if the "rumor alert" was more like a real alert?

      That's a nice suggestion, thanks!
