So lately I decided on a pivot with a small app I built last year called Stadialist. Instead of a full on database, I've taken to telling stories via a newsletter. Would appreciate feedback on the landing page and perhaps where it could improve?
Is the message it's trying to convey clear? Tried to keep it as minimal and to the point as possible.

First block for email has no CTA so it is confusing. I'd cut the 'what we used to do' story and just discuss what you do now and why it is something people should want. People want to know what's in it for them.
Show snippets from some of the newsletters to give them a sneak peek.
Great feedback! Yes I was wondering if I should keep the bit about the past in there, will remove it and try to get a few of the articles on that homepage! :)
That sounds like a good plan. We are all so bombarded with content now that you have to give people the "why" to stick around as quickly as possible.
Thank you Indie Hackers community! Streamlined the copy and added a sample story. Trying to get to the point of what it is! :)
To be honest, I rarely read more than two paragraphs if I'm not already hooked. I think most users do the same thing as me.
In the first line, maybe even below your tag line, explain exactly what it is you do, and why I'm supposed to like it. Stories from Stadiums is ambiguous and sounds boring. I'm sure what you do is exciting and has more twists to it, but random stories from stadium don't do it for me.
Also, I think your social proof is a bit social unproof right now. Before you hit 500+ subscribers, I wouldn't bother (unless you're going for full transparency, I can respect that)
Is your product a sport weekly newsletter?
If yes, do you really need a landing page? Or is it better to simply use a blog, twitter...?
Have a Twitter already, intention is the site becomes a blog at the end of it, once I get round to it 😅
Then just start your blog, you don't need any landing page ;)
