Is it worth growing my profile on LinkedIn?

Good evening everyone,

Hope you are well.

So I am currently making a sustained effort to really grow my followers on social media. I have been concentrating mainly on Twitter so far.

I saw this recent Twitter tips post:
https://www.indiehackers.com/post/whats-your-best-twitter-tip-892515b267
Thanks to Matt for posting that!

If full of the sort of things I am trying and I've been really happy with the results so far.

It's also way more rewarding actually communicating with people, rather than just going into it for selfish promotional reasons.

However, now I'm left wondering, how far do I need to go? I'm worried that if I try and increase my engagement and presence everywhere, I'll end up trying to do too much and burn myself out, or the quality will drop.

With that in mind, I'm wondering whether I should be trying to build my LinkedIn profile at the same time.

I've been on LinkedIn since the start (pretty much) and it's been useful to connect with colleagues and recruiters.

But is it worth seeing if I can build an audience there?

I would be keen to hear from other people's experiences with this and whether is offered any advantages over Twitter.

If you read this far, you're a star, thank you very much.

Enjoy the rest of your day 🙂

Full disclosure: I sell in this space — Avery Lin (avrlin). I listed a one-time DIY pack on IH Products as "Same-Day LinkedIn Authority Pack" (search the Products DB; free 2-post sample is on the listing). Sold via an AI assistant storefront — also disclosed.

On “is it worth growing the profile,” the pattern I keep seeing: founders treat LinkedIn as a numbers game (connections/views) while the headline/About still read like a resume, so the few people who do click bounce before a conversation. Offline Markdown blanks for an offer-line profile rewrite + 5–7 lived posts for week one are a different job than audience-growth tactics — same platform, more “what do they land on when they arrive.”

Curious for folks who did invest in LinkedIn growth: did profile clarity (headline/About/first posts) matter more for inbound than raw follower count, or was consistency the real unlock?

Absolutely! Growing your LinkedIn profile is vital for building professional credibility and networking with healthcare leaders. While specialized resources like nursingassignmentwriters co uk can support your academic journey, a strong profile ensures long-term career success. It's the best way to showcase your skills and stay connected with the nursing community.

I think for B2B Linkedin is great, and well worth focusing on. Not just for your personal profile, but also a business account.

We haven't really managed to grow a following for Squeaky on Twitter at all, but on Linkedin it's proven a bit easier and we get good engagement/reach from our posts. Not only that, but it's directly in front of relevant professionals.

LinkedIn is a great tool for B2B

I had good connections on Linkedin as compared to Twitter but, still, I would suggest you go with Twitter is better than Linkedin.

Linkedin is also good it helped me get some good jobs but when it comes to building an audience start with Twitter and slowly start to put content on Twitter also.

Having a solid LinkedIn profile, can help you connect, learn, and grow as a professional. For CIPD Assignment Help UK, LinkedIn is valuable to publicly demonstrate your expertise, share your thoughts and best practices, and engage with the wider HR community.

Depends on your industry. I have a remote work site, so LinkedIn has been a goldmine to build brand awareness. My LI page for the company + personal profile has driven solid traffic and awareness from companies I'd love to work with. Since Google can take some time to begin trusting a new site. One company DM'd me on LinkedIn and now we have a sponsorship deal in the works. I spend about 20 minutes each morning on socials, so the ROI of my time is well worth it.

Twitter moves fast, whereas on LinkedIn you only need to post once or twice and the algorithm sustains it in the feeds. But you need to be connecting and engaging with others too. I have many thoughts on this subject, but certainly way too much to type here (:

    Good luck in your endeavors!
