    Pros:

Immediate Revenue: Lifetime deals can generate a significant amount of revenue upfront, providing you with the capital to further develop and market your tool.

Customer Acquisition: Offering a lifetime deal can attract a large number of early adopters and customers who are willing to commit long-term, helping you build a user base and gather valuable feedback.

Community Engagement: Indie Hackers is a community of entrepreneurs and makers, and offering a lifetime deal can spark discussions and engagement around your product, enhancing your reputation within the community.

    Cons:

Revenue Sustainability: While lifetime deals bring in immediate revenue, they can also lead to a revenue gap in the future as you won't have subscription renewals. This can make it challenging to maintain ongoing development and support.

Customer Expectations: Customers who purchase lifetime deals may have higher expectations for support and updates since they've made a significant upfront investment. Meeting these expectations can be demanding.

Devaluation of Your Product: Offering lifetime deals at a steep discount can potentially devalue your product in the eyes of future customers. They may wait for similar deals or expect lower pricing.

    Mitigation Strategies:

To make the most of a lifetime deal while building your reputation on Indie Hackers, consider these strategies:

Limited Quantity: Offer a limited number of lifetime deals to create urgency and scarcity.

Transparent Roadmap: Clearly communicate your product roadmap, so customers understand the value they'll receive in the long term.

Offer Upsells: Provide opportunities for customers to upgrade or purchase add-ons, ensuring a steady stream of revenue.

Exceptional Support: Commit to providing top-notch support to lifetime deal customers to build goodwill and positive reviews.

      hey,
      Thank you!

majority of the things fall in the favor of, as the LTD is a one-time offer and we do not have any paying customers yet, so we aren't exactly offering anything different to drive away the existing customer base.
And I do agree that we need to have a product at a great quality, we are working on that.

      appreciate the feedbacks
