I'd love some feedback on calmdog. I want it to be as easy and minimal as possible. My idea is that I don't want to put any roadblocks between the user and just using the app.
If you actually try training your dog with it, you'll see that I do a lot of teaching about the technique in the actual app.
Thanks for checking it, I'm planning to take your feedback and then share calmdog with my target audience once I've made any important changes.
I like it as well, but the CTA "start calming" takes me to a text where it tells me more about the service. So a slight mental disconnect there, at least for me.
You are not wrong. @Frontendor did a re-design above where he changed the CTA to "Try it" which makes a lot more sense. I think I'll go with that.
It's funny I always thought the CTA was kind of off but I could never put my finger on it. Having someone else look at it is exactly what I needed. Thank you.
I understood the value prop, but I don't know what the product is. Is it an app? Does the app calm the dog, or does the person have to do it? Are you sending email instructions for the owner to calm the dog?
It would be helpful to see that explanation on the first page -- without the need to click on links to figure this out.
So maybe I could include a paragraph underneath the slogan that says "A guided training app that walks you through daily challenges to teach your dog how to chill"
Yes, sounds great.
Thanks for the feedback, I added it and I think I really like it.
I'm glad. If you want more copy suggestions, you can check out my new product at https://getsplashpad.com. It intelligently recommends language to help you sell more with your writing.
Hello, I did a quick redesign in Adobe XD: https://i.imgur.com/w34VUNk.jpg
Good Luck :)
Wow, thanks for the redesign. I really like the larger text you used. And switching the CTA to "Try it" makes a lot of sense, as @fredrik said below the current text is a bit of a disconnect. Also, the little text saying it's free is great!
Thank you a lot I will be adding this to it.
Hello @BrandonVeth Please can you help me with something. Please contact me on twitter @Frontendor_
I added 2 squares on the right side because I felt there is empty space.
I'm glad that I helped u.
Good Luck
Not too minimal at all! I like the landing page a lot and the flow was good. At first I didn't like the extra click of going to the "what is calmdog" page before getting to the relaxation page, but I think it worked out well. It provides important context and it wound up feeling more natural than I thought it would.
I had a little trouble once I got to the actual Relaxation page. I knew to click the green buttons but wasn't exactly sure what I was doing it for. Maybe there should be some red text (or other prominent color) under the "instructions" accordion saying something like "First time? Click here to expand the instructions"
PS: Your logo is awesome!
Thanks for checking it out. I'm glad you liked the flow through the first two pages. I though the Relaxation page might be a bit confusing. I'll try something like you suggested.
I know isn't that logo great!
A couple small things that are making a big difference in the perceived quality of the page:
And thanks for taking the time to check it out and give me honest feedback. I really appreciate it!
Before pressing "Try it" I was really wondering what the product is. Had 0 clues and pressed it only because this is a controlled test. I think this is a weak spot — a user should have expectations before doing any action.
Update Wed Jun17: I added some of your suggestions! Thank you all so much. And keep the feedback coming. Later today I'm going to finally share it with my target audience.
Looks good, I might put the navbar contents in a container.
But the goal is to get them using the product quickly so a simple landing page makes sense.
