Is my product too early for ProductHunt?
I launched the MVP of telios.io which is a decentralized and encrypted email service back in November of '21 as a way to get some early feedback and find bugs. I have about 600 users that have signed up from just a couple of Reddit posts and I'm looking to launch on ProductHunt as a way to get more users to try the app out.
Our current users are telling us they don't see themselves switching from other email services like Gmail and Protonmail until our mobile app is finished. Would it be a good idea to wait for launching on PH until we've finished a feature our users are all asking for? Will launching too early on PH affect later launches if the first one didn't do well?
You could do something like launching on PH right now and then launch again once you have the mobile app (I think you have to wait 6 months between launches on PH).
But I would also make sure that you have an audience (followers, subscribers, friends, community peers, etc) to help you get to that top of the day.
Otherwise, it might turn out to be a not-so-good first launch on PH.
