Is my voice terrible? Did my first product video tutorial and I need your support

  1. Is it boring?
  2. What about my voice?
  3. Too slow?
  4. Should I add selfie video in the corner (like many YouTubers/gamers do)?

Check Dr. Diary in my profile.

Please post your videos of you have, so I can get inspired. My goal is to simplify the exploration of Dr. Diary for new/random site visitors - I will add it to the landing page when ready.

The voice is not bad but I found it a bit whispery. I think it would be better if you talk in a louder and excited tone.

To be honest, it was 2 AM and I was exhausted, so I might better record in more reasonable hour next time. Thanks for your response.

I'd consider hiring a voice actor off fiver.

My friend did this for his start up and it allowed him to make a much better presentation.

Your audio quality isn't good here. Don't record your audio on the phone while your typing.

Invest in a nice 80$ or so USB mic if you want to record your own stuff

Thank you for your opinion, external mic might be a good choice, I will consider buying one.

Great job on the video. Here are some changes I would implement:

    1. Add some backing track music.
    2. Add a better intro that gives the viewer some more context around your app (i.e "Welcome to Dr. Diary, the everyday Diary for your activities. Today I'm going to show you how to get started.").
    3. Talk less. In parts, let the actions in the video do the talking for you (i.e. Don't say "Now click the plus button", just click the plus button in the video, no need to spoon feed the viewer every single action).

I recently made a similar video for my product. Here's how it turned out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agLlxT6Eunk

Your feedback is very useful, thank you good man! Number 3. seems so obvious now, I will do it.

Agree with @youngandambitious, it's good and your voice is fine. While it's a bit slow I wouldn't speed it up. I just recently went through a Udemy course and the instructor started with "in intentionally going slow so you can use the playback speed settings to speed it up if you like".

I think there's a funny thing about human nature where we all hate the sound of our own voices.

Yeah, it's funny how we just can't hear our own voice. Thanks for your tips.

I definitely think it would be worth hiring someone to do the voice work. Realistically people tune out from a voice they don't feel inspired by and that's too much pressure to put on yourself when it isn't your profession

Your voice is good but you just need to be louder.

Hi, Tailor! I think it can be a bit faster, but as a guide for unknown system it really helpful, so I don’t think that you need to worry

I am not skilled with video editing, I may have to look for someone on fiverr..
