Is my website's homepage too bare?

Hi usmanity, I'm not seeing what i would actually get from your homepage. It might be helpful to describe what's the purpose or what it's doing.

Speaking about the homepage, it looks empty and doesn't explain the purpose of the website. Is it a book searching site, book purchasing site, or something else.

My suggestion would be to add a subtitle text beneath the main title, explaining the purpose in 1-2 lines.

Why there is three different CTAs above the fold, (Get started button, search bar and Go to Shelf button.) All these three CTAs serves different purposes and confuses the user firsthand. Try to remove one of those CTA. Ask a question yourself what do I want the user to do when it lands on my website?

Consider adding some imagery/illustration to make the message more impactful & engaging. (for e.g. person happily reading a book, a peaceful place with some books kept, etc). These prompts are based on what I read the title is about.

Colors are distracting. Those green & blue are fighting with each other to seek attention. In your specific case, either use green or blue. That too, only one primary color per viewport.

I say scrap the green, get minimalist art in the background (something like a bookshelf with a background color that matches the theme) and make the search bar and the 'Go to Shelf' button less prominent, not in size but in how much they stand out

I would also edit the login/sign up screen - maybe center it? maybe describe what the user is signing up for?

I don't know what your product does based on the landing page, some explanations would work wonders here
