Is Newsletter Fatigue Real?

This post made me think - is there really newsletter fatigue?

Our attention spans are decreasing.
We want to get to the point faster.

As for myself, I know scrolling LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram gets really draining because my brain is full of impulses of all kinds - threads, videos, reels, images, image/text, just text, and so on.

I like to see more standardized forms of content. And content that gets straight to the point. What if you had a block of 60 words to fill - JUST ONCE PER DAY?

This is what 60 words actually look like. The modern consumer does not have the time or the attention span to read more and less feels like barely anything. I want a precis and I want it now on a topic of interest to me, like startups, wine, or relationships, only one per day. It has to be 60 words!

Would you be interested in reading from your favorite creators just one snippet of knowledge in a post-it like format? Why or why not?

Personally, I've quit newsletters and social media all together to be honest. I've resorted back to reading blogs from people I admire or like their content and usually its long-form content/industry insights that I'm interested in. I've started to become really picky when it comes to what I want to consume because yes, like many others I also sense the newsletter fatigue and even broader, content fatigue.

I know what you mean. There's too much content to choose from today.
