Hey,
I'd like to know your opinion on our landing page/email capture page.
Me and @jkbl are planning to launch beta of our new product - Raport in November. This is the first time we decided to make beta version available to public and make a waiting list. In the past we were always releasing the "final" version of the product, but decided it's time for a different approach.
Can you please let me know if this page looks good, explains the product and makes you interested to subscribe to the waiting list?
Here is the link 👈🏻
Any feedback is welcome!
Just by looking at the page, I have no idea how it works and what exactly it will be able to do.
My main curiosities are:
Another thing is: it's not clear who it is for. I would be more specific with that, and the problem it resolves (eg. for a marketing agency: are you overwhelmed with tracking all the stats from all your managed campaigns? We centralize and allow you to visually inspect faster and easier all the necessary data points! You will save hours of work every day!). It's a common problem with indie hackers, they focus on "what we offer, check out our features", instead of "this is your problem, we have the solution". The 2nd variant converts better and talks directly to the potential clients.
But the website looks good (looks like tailwind). Minimalistic and clean. One thing I would change though is to include more branding (idk what the brand colors are, I suppose blue, but the logo doesn't indicate this). Anyway, this is for a later stage, now I think it's a little bit too early to focus on branding.
Thanks for such an extensive and insightful comment. Our website message definitely should be more problem focused. There is a long road before us, until we make everything perfect.
The main objective of this page was to tease the idea a little bit and evaluate people interest, without showing exactly how it works. We will create more exhaustive website after beta testing. Right now we focused on describing general process solving the problem, rather than problem itself. I guess we thought that visitors will assign their own specific need to that process and see value how it can make their life easier. Just like you did with marketing agencies. Maybe we overthinked it and should focus more on clarity of our message.
I agree though, that it is better to be direct by putting problem and target market first. We found that extremely hard at this stage because of multiple vertical markets that could benefit from using such tool. Apart from marketing agencies, there are also local business owners, indie hackers, startups and enterprises. All of which can save time and efficiently get insights using all-in-one analytics tool that we're creating. But maybe we are thinking too big from the start and should select one initial market to begin with.
As to your curiosities, which made me think that we should showcase screenshots from the app more:
Anyway, Glad you like our minimalistic design. That's not tailwind. As to logo colors, we wanted them to be monochromatic and not to distract from content and CTAs. But now as I think of it, it defies idea of good branding.
I agree with Vlad's points, it's a clean and elegant design but the target audience is not well defined. I would consider adding some testimonials from people who belong to that group.
Thank you, we will consider rewriting it, so it's more focused on target audience. Or maybe to keep it short we will add sample use cases for each vertical.
We've would also love to add some testimonials, but it is too early for that. We are currently focused on bringing beta version to first potential users.
Hey 👋
Just a quick comment - load it up on a mobile phone and you’ll see the title jump around when the word changes.
👍
Thanks for spotting it. This is really big issue, that makes reading everything on mobile a nightmare. Will fix it right away.
