Hey Indie Hackers,
We just put up the initial landing page for our new project: Uvilox AI (https://uvilox-aiwebsite.pages.dev/).
Before we actively start driving traffic and launching outbound campaigns, we want to make sure our messaging actually hits the mark. When you look at the hero section, is it immediately obvious what value we are bringing to the table?
A few things we’d love your brutal honesty on:
Does the branding feel premium and trustworthy for an AI tool?
Is the call-to-action clear, or does it feel confusing?
What is the #1 thing holding you back from signing up based on what you see?
Drop your links below too—happy to swap feedback and look at your landing pages in return!
gut reaction before i even clicked: i couldn't tell what it does from the name and tagline alone, and that's the thing that matters most. "AI" in the positioning is doing way too much work, it tells me nothing about who it's for or what changes for me.
the test i run on my own pages: can a stranger read the hero in 5 seconds and say "oh this is for [who] to do [what]"? right now i'd guess wrong. pick the one painful job your best user hires you for and say that plainly. "AI" is the how, not the what.
IH is the wrong feedback audience. Sign language interpretation is medical assistive technology, not B2B SaaS. Feedback that matters is from deaf users, ASL interpreters, accessibility advocates — not founders.
Three serious flags before any launch:
"97.4% accuracy" and "<80ms latency" specifics on a beta site are credibility risks if not from validated benchmarks. ASL community has been burned by overclaiming startups before.
"Direct 911 integration" is FCC-regulated, requires TTY/TRS-equivalent certifications, NENA i3 compliance, FCC approval. You can't just claim "integration." If you don't have certifications, you're misleading or about to get a cease-and-desist.
"Find doctors" feature is bolted on. Three different products jammed into one.
Dev URL (uvilox-aiwebsite.pages.dev) on a product claiming HIPAA, AES-256, 911 integration is a credibility hit on its own. Register a real domain.
Reframe: ask deaf community, not founders.
Sure will keep this in mind and make changes to it
