Is Shopify App Bridge important? 🤔

I'm using Bubble to build my first Shopify App (well, first product ever, period.)
I've been really digging into Shopify's app design guidelines but I'm a bit confused by the "Shopify App Bridge." Apparently, it enables you to create apps directly inside the Shopify Admin. According to shopify, apps built using this sky bridge are more "performant, flexible and have more features." Does anybody have examples of apps built using the app bridge vs not?
