Hi folks,
It's been a while since I posted any progress about HelloRemote on IH as I've been pretty busy since I went full time on it in Feb.
I'm looking for some "don't hold back" feedback about the homepage.
I'm currently converting 16% of traffic, but I think in the current climate, it should be doing better than that, especially as it's free.
I'd be really grateful of your thoughts, as I'm compiling ideas this week to redesign it the week after.
Cheers
Hey @Andrewpyle it's a nice initiative
2 feedback
I'm also running a side project, keen to know your feedback!
P.S. Spent 2 years in Bournemouth. Love it :)
Hey @felix12777
I can tell you that Bournemouth is currently looking amazing in the sunshine.... even though we're all in lock down!
Really appreciate your feedback, you've absolutely nailed it on the fonts. There is no system in place for this at all, I'm just hacking things together as quickly as possible. I really need to sit down and put a design strategy together to at least make each page consistent.
Thanks for getting in touch :)
@Andrewpyle some quick feedback:
"Get a new remote job. Fast." with the primary CTA "Start Lesson #1. feels like an immediate conflict and I question your claims of fast. Lesson #1 of how many? How long are the lessons? Do I get a new job after the lessons? How are the lessons related to me getting a job?
"Discover how to make your applications stand out for companies that hire remotely" ok, but can you just tell me how? Feels like if you just said we help you stand out by doing x, y, and z. I'd be like OK help me do x, y, and z. I know what I'm getting. But this leaves me asking questions about some mystery way you are going to help me.
In the "What's included" section, I'm still unsure how all these pieces fit together. Maybe a more linear How It Works section might give me the full story of how the tools all fit together to create some magic.
Take it all with a grain of salt :)
Good luck ✌️
Really appreciate the feedback, I can now see that I need to focus on the "How" throughout. It's really helped me shift how I communicate the value.
Thanks :)

This is gold! 👏🏻 Thank you so much for the detailed feedback. I completely agree with your comments, and will start focussing on the”How” for sure.
