Is the startup/entrepreneur community actually much smaller than it feels?
If you're on Indie Hackers, there's a good chance your online presence is surrounded by other people building startups in public. Maybe it's just me, but it feels very saturated at times.
In my personal social circle, I only know 1-2 other people who are interested in starting a business, and it's more of a casual interest.
Does being surrounded online by the extremely active & energetic startup crowd make the space feel much larger and more saturated than it actually is? Or is it really as crowded as it feels?
I'm fairly new to the community, so I'm interested to hear other people's thoughts.

I definitely think there is a confirmation bias in posting/reading on IH,PH, Twitter and other mediums like that, and the reason for that is probably because that's basically where most of the information about our community is 😄
I don't think it's particularly crowded, but we're just mostly noisy by nature as we often share a lot about what we are doing. Moreover, I guess there is mostly people asking questions in how to replicate other successful indie hackers success 😊
Don't feel overwhelmed by all the reading and noise around you, and try to focus on what you're building and why: serving your customers the best you can!
Yea that's what I was thinking is probably the case. I'm not necessarily overwhelmed by it, most of it is really useful and helpful stuff.
But it does take some effort to remind myself that it feels more noisy/saturated than it really is because of the online bubble I'm in.
