Is the value proposition obvious?

Quickly pulled together a landing page for my community-driven tutorial marketplace idea that I want to create for data engineering.

https://tutorial-marketplace.webflow.io/

My concern is that I'm not driving home the value proposition here. Basically, there isn't a traditional way of getting into data engineering, and a lot of the existing programs online require subscriptions (which can be expensive, like Udacity). My marketplace will consist of tutorials that can be completed within a reasonable amount of time, and end users can pick and choose which topics they want to learn at any pace they want (as opposed to being forced to learn topics in an online program that aren't relevant for them). Each tutorial will have a one-time fee associated with it, but it will always be accessible to the end user after being paid.

@caitlinjohnson Yep, it is very clear and very well worded. No ambiguity at all. Good job!

Thank you, I appreciate you taking the time to read through the landing page!

I'm not an engineer, but the value proposition is super clear and aligns perfectly with what you said above. Extra points for using Webflow. Keep up the good work!

Thank you! There was a bit of a learning curve with Webflow, but I managed to get the website up a lot faster than it would have been if I coded it myself!

I'd cut "Community-driven education platform for data engineering" (feels like a lot of buzzwords without saying much) and just lead with "High-quality tutorials created by data engineers driven to help you learn, without breaking your bank.".

Awesome, thanks for this feedback! I’ll definitely do that then!

Was just about to say the same thing. @caitlinjohnson I would guess (but you should probably validate this) the value users are looking for is "learn data engineering as fast and as painlessly as possible". Then, you can highlight that yours is the cheapest option. Also my two cents, I think focusing on being a cheap option as the main value proposition makes the product seem low quality (though I'm sure its not!).

Perhaps change the text in the first section to:
      High-quality tutorials for data engineering.
Created by current data engineers to help you learn without breaking your bank.

This is great and exactly what I thought was missing from the page. Thank you for this insight and I'll get working to incorporate your feedback!

This is a really good point. I believe the majority of the ones that want to learn data engineering are solely doing it to get a job (a lot of them are analysts or back-end developers that want to transition into the field). A lot of them have expressed how expensive it is to learn data engineering because of the options available online, hence where the "affordability" comes into play, but I'll see how I can incorporate your other points into the copy as well! Thank you so so much for reading through the landing page and giving me this great feedback!
