Is there a market to help people sell information?

I recently started paying for some email subscriptions.

The content was good enough that I was willing to pay for it; however, the process for purchasing it was cumbersome.

I'm trying to understand the best steps to validate if there is a market for helping content creators to sell their content easily online.

Not sure if I should research it from the perspective of subscriptions or just the concept of selling any piece of information online easily.
