Is there a way for my website to gain SEO if it is served entirely through an iframe?

Long story short the platform on which my web app is powered doesn't offer custom domains. Using a hacked together solution ( a flask app controlling the iframe) I can make it appear as though it is a website by serving it through an iframe.

It works perfectly, however I'm afraid it doesn't make it easy for google to scrape my websites contents. Before I go with plan B of redesigning a large portion of my website I wanted to see if anyone had any tips or ideas of things I can do.

Any suggestions for workarounds would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It shouldn't affect Google scraping (you can check Google's cached version of your page in case you're worrying) BUT all the SEO benefit (eg. backlinks, rankings) will go to the original webpage you're iframing.

eg. if you're iframing ugly.subdomain.com on your nice-domain.com it will work but whenever you will want to rank on Google it will show up as ugly.subdomain.com/page. So if that's your main brand website, I would recommend against it.

I understand, thanks! I am in the process of porting the site over to a different language. It should solve my problems. Thanks!
