Is there any other way to monetize content or audience?

I currently run a music media network that is starting to gain a little traction. Currently, I have had a few paid reviews and shoutouts and was able to monetize somehow. Is this and banner ads the only way to go for monetizing your content and audience? Or is there any other, rather uncommon way of monetizing?

How about affiliate links? Do your readers / listeners have any intent to buy anything?

Sell something. A book or course.

Have you looked into delivering additional value through Patreon?

You could sell access to exclusive content, industry insights, or even additional products like clothing.

It's a great way to build a recurring revenue stream by creating your own source of value.

Advertising is probably not the greatest way to monetize unless you have significant traffic (we’re talking 10s of 1000s of pageviews/day).

Neither is gating content, in a niche like music media - not enough consumer money there.

I would actually double down on your sponsorship success. I run a small niche music website (it had 9,000 visitors this month) and this is how we monetize. If we ran ads, we would probably not make enough to pay for the hosting.

    Hi.
A few ideas: buymeacoffee for donations. Also create coffeelinks... have eager readers pay you for Early previews or archive access.
