Is there something like collaborative stores in the US or Europe?

After some great advice on my last post here on IH, I finally started working on my idea and putting some shape to it. But I need help from my fellow foreigners :)

My idea is aimed at the market of collaborative stores. These are basically stores where they rent small spaces/booths to small creative brands, like people who do handcrafting or small fashion brands, that can't pay for their own space.

I've been seeing lots of those pop up here in Brazil, but it's still a very niche market with a bit of competition (I have 3 on my radar). So I think it makes sense to start "global" so I can increase the size of the market I can reach (I'd love feedback on why this might be a good or a bad idea).

But when researching for "collaborative store" or similar terms on google, I found nothing and I started to doubt if that concept really is a thing outside of Brazil. Can anyone help me localize the concept to wherever you're from?
I'd love to see how big this market is in other regions and if there's a good overlap of the problems they face, if any, so I can take this decision of going global or not.
