Is there still a market for remote job board or aggregator?

Honestly as far as I tried them as a user they mostly suck.

What's missing is one that has both quality on the filtering to actual remote jobs and personalisation for the alerts.

Many are remote but still in a country or in a timezone
The job title/requirements need customisation.

Sourcing directly from companies that are remote only or remote first and only post on their own sites.
Getting actual relevant details from one that are posted widely with no details but hints "remote possible" (sometimes it's X months in the office first other it's maybe or partial time others as before location and/or timezone limited)

I'm not saying it's easy to get it right and maybe I got used to the usual sites being more than half decent, and this is a tiny niche.

I agree with what others have said regarding there being space in this sector. I think remote work is going to be huge in the 2020s, and will expand to other sectors beyond IT and tech. It's got that feel about it where the demand is huge.

I echo that I would pay for a decent service. Maybe there is something needed for vetting candidates, or perhaps niching down into specific domains might be the way to go.

So I think if you were to do more research you might be able to hit on a service which is a bit more differentiated.

There certainly is a market for remote jobs in my opinion.

I think the demand is so enormous, that there is space for many businesses...

I'm actually developping a blog about remote work in general, and I'm really interested in finding a solution about it.

I'll tell you why I clearly think there is a market in my opinion.

I, personally, would absolutely love to find a remote job...but I heard so many messages telling me that, basically, looking for a remote job is useless because of the number of applicants...that I didn't even try anything.

If a remote website came to me and said:

"we can assure that if you that if you pay us 300 dollars now, we guarantee that you'll get a remote job as a frontend developer (or any other jobs) in the next 3 months..."

I'd pay without blinking, even though the finances are low ;)

Reading through the comment these are the things missing on current platforms

1. Non tech remote jobs
2. Able to find fully remote jobs (not confined to a country/city/timezone)
3. Companies able to wipeout trash application
4. Guarantee for applicants to find a remote job

There’s always room if you can do it better than what’s currently available.

Try talking to some remote people (wannabe remote) and find out what’s missing. Same with the employers. Try contacting them. Especially if you see they’ve had a job advertised for a long period of time and still appears to be vacant. What’s not working for them?

Or go for a different niche within remote. What else other than tech is starting to get interest.

Would like to see a bigger focus on non-tech roles for remote jobs!

Honestly, I think it's way too crowded now.

Probably won't solve the issue you describe. People struggle with it because there is global competition. A job board can be the cause of that. If you post on RemoteOK you are fighting against 1,000s of other applicants and as an employer you receive a lot of trash. IMO that only works in a hyperniche (I run a job board for fully remote machine learning jobs, but of course there are less employers willing to book a space in that area)
