Is this a good idea?

I recently build my first landing page using mailerlite. I tried to keep it as simple and clear as possible to explain the product Yeahboilerplates.

Since I'm still in the validation phase, I decided to add a little note basically saying that I'm still unsure if I should develop this product, and people should subscribe to the newsletter to show that I should.

Is this a good idea? On the one hand it gives incentive to really show one's support, on the other hand it feels a little manipulative. What is your opinion?
