Hey, ya'll.
Basically, it's live Zoom classes for seniors to do something while they are stuck at home.
I am trying to do that with my current startup https://carevocacy.com, but I am curious if people will find it helpful. They can even learn how to play games online or be safe from online scams.
Maybe a grandma learning how to make a podcast or use Excel.
What ya'll think?
How are you getting initial customers? It seems that people who are poor tech adopters would have trouble using a new platform. It also seems like traditional routes for customer acquisition would not be as effective either.
Hey @Brandon_Stover! Thank you for the question. That's what I get all the time, and it's something I think about constantly. Yet, how we've been able to combat that is by partnering with orgs that work with seniors.
For example, Lifelong Learning Institutes or home care places. I'd love to brainstorm with you if you're interested.
That makes a lot of sense partnering with people that already assist with seniors. Ones that also come to mind are medical services that are shifting to telemedicine, especially in the age of COVID. If they serve a lot of elderly they could use support in helping their patients transition online.
Also would love to connect on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/brandonstover/
Stefano, I really like your idea! I also think you did a great job with the website design. Simple but informative.
I have direct experience supporting many aging business owners who were customers of my previous SaaS company. I was surprised how after helping a new client get setup with our system they would ask if we could also assist them with their other SaaS products (like mailchimp, wix, and online booking). They were probably a little more savvy then your target market but not by much and so I always thought there was opportunity in this space. Feel free to DM me if you want to chat. I would love to hear what kind of transaction you are getting.
Hey @e2etech! Thank you for sharing your feedback and as well as your experience with aging owners.
Definitely, I'd be down to connect via LinkedIn and get to know each other more.
Stefano. Hey. I like the idea. I am buidling in this space as well. We are looking at providing tools to care givers and family members so that they can better support their older adults. DM if you want to talk. Happy to share some resources.
Happy to hear that! Are you on LinkedIn? And where are you from :)
sounds like a good idea, I like it.
Thank you! I appreciate it :)
Hey @stefanoselorio, this is a great idea and service! I like you provide a phone number since a lot of seniors might not have the tech savvy to find you online.
I think maybe marketing of kids of seniors might be a good idea since the seniors may have trouble finding you.
Maybe flyers in senior living center bulletin boards.
ALl the best!
Hey @ksp, I appreciate the feedback! I believe one way to reach older adults is through their adult children.
I have also spoken to other senior centers and groups that care for seniors to see if they are interested.
BTW, what got you to respond to my post? Always curious to learn from others.
