I've been working and researching on a start-up idea/product and would appreciate your feedback and advice.
So the idea is to provide alternative ways to donate and raise money towards fundraisers using advertising in a way that everyone with internet access can take part in.
Our goal?
Raise money for fundraisers using user engagement.
How?
Basically provide a platform where fundraisers(NGO,charities) can host campaigns to raise a specific amount of money.
Users who would like to support the fundraiser create a profile on the platform with their interests.
The magic.
Through ad engagement and exposure we collect money from advertisers, users profiles are matched (video, audio, display and surveys) relevant to their profile interests.
Though the amount seems small from an individual level (0.03 - 0.13 USD per use engagement) it has potential of increasing, when combined with efforts of multiple users the results could be phenomenal.
One of the inspirations for the idea "If you got one dollar from a million people, could you raise a million dollars towards societal issues?"

I really like you idea of "fundraisers using user engagement".
I am struggling a bit to understand how it works. So would users need to create an account to then be 'helping their organization' by 'providing them with ad revenue' by 'browsing content from advertisers'? I think maybe a diagram would help me visualize this more easily :)
The idea (based on how I understand it) seems great! I wonder at what stage you would make money?
From a user point of view: can there be a possibility to have your interests saved - for example having it be like a shopping website for clothes? And that you can just easily click and select the charities that you would like to support?

Yes users would have to make a profile with their interests saved so relevant ad content (maybe targeted deals) will be shown to them for a personalised experience.
Eventually we would make money from some affiliate purchases where it's fit to, but focus will be on helping fundraisers reach targets and transparency. Each user can choose which fundraiser/charity their raised funds go to.

Where does the money come from and whoever is paying... do they want to pay to get in front of an audience they know is engaging for charity?
Yes, advertisers will be basically paying to get in-front of a target audience that will likely be interested based on the users profile.
