Is this name is good for newsletter?

Hello IH,

So I decided to start a newsletter on startup and founder stories.

And if I'm story writing stories in my newsletter so I choose this name "The Narrator" .

Is this good name for this kind of newsletter?

Please give me an honest opinion 🙂

Thanks.

Super generic name, I'd say it's neutral as in no one would be offended but it doesn't explain what it is.. you could also look at it as newsletter and writer like startup stories by the narrator
Or I could make something like that up and you'd probably have no case in terms of protecting the name from super soundalikes

"The Profile Narrator" is my second choice is that good?

That sounds to me like your reading social network profiles, yawn

If I saw "The Narrator" I may think it's a movie coming Fall 2021 lol.

As others have said, that sounds too generic and doesn't really grab my attention if I saw it on a list of other newsletters.

    Why not this one...

    "Startup Stories"

I kind of like it! All the best!

Nice name, but in my opinion not fit for purpose - too generic and not related to the topic.

Did you have any other ideas? Let's have a poll

The Profile Narrator is my second choice

It’s an interesting name in my opinion. I can totally understand what it means in relation to the subject.

Maybe to be more descriptive you could call it “The Startup Narrator”?

    Anyways, best of luck!

" The Profile Narrator " what you think about this?

Not sure, "profile" doesn't say much to me.

Find the best descriptive word and slap that on to the front.

      Yes. I got your point.

      Thanks 👍

This is super generic and focuses on YOU the writer - That works if you're super famous like Tim Ferris or David Perell, they can have names like "Friday Finds" and "Monday Musings"

But if you're not that big, I've discovered it's best to focus on the reader instead.

Who is your audience, try and put them in the name.

Something like - "Founder Stories" if you are targeting founders.

    or "Startup secrets" maybe.

For my latest newsletter I am targeting Indie Hackers so I've called it - "Listen Up IH"

It's very niche, only people on IH will even understand the name, but that's who I want to target as well. So it works!

    Hope this helps
