Is this Tweet a smart marketing campaign or clickbait?

Just noticed this Tweet from @Gabe, where he gives out a free license of his product for whoever replies. The thing is, the tweet settings are set such that only he can reply to it, so he is the only lucky user who got a license!

Do you think it's intended? I think it feels really scammy from @divjoy's part.

Haha this is just a joke, so I guess marketing, although honestly didn't think too hard about it. So far people seem to think it's funny:

Definitely not clickbait or a “scam”. New feature rolled out on Twitter and everyone, including Twitter themselves, is trolling with it.

Seems accidental to me. I cant see how such a scam would even work 🤔

Edit: nevermind, looks like it was just a (questionable) joke

Sticker mule is nailing it on Twitter by offering 500$ amazon credits for a retweet. One winner per tweet. Nomadlist founder also played same trick by offering a $3000 to a winner. She bagged 10K followers in this way, which may have taken 3-5x for growing using Twitter ads.

Well, this is actually a nice one. @Gabe at least allowed someone to reply, so it seems better than those who just left it empty. As you already get it, it's a new feature of Twitter. It's one of those things that are funny in the beginning.

However, I find this one brutal
