I was recently going through the showcase section of webflow, I noticed it was all design centric. Loads of visually appealing landing pages but it made me question that webflow community as a whole seems to be more overinclined on the design aspect.
Only when I read thread on indiehacker regarding webflow I noticed more content around integration with Airtable and Zapier. The community of no-coders on webflow seems to more focused on delivering business value.
I would love to see webflow community in long run mantaining the passion of design and at the same time also focusing on business logic aspect like bubble.
I personally believe an amalgamation is important as at the end of the day a good product requires a both a great user experience and business value.
Here's WebPlug built by me. A dynamic filter for Webflow
I like the idea of the webflow and bubble baby making lol. Some would say that Webflow is more on the design side asbubble is more full stack or on the function side. I like bubble for advanced things like full stack and using custom api. Webflow is amazing of course but just depends what you need out of each platform in the end.
I definitely agree. I'm working on No Code MBA with this exact idea. I want to build out more tutorials for Webflow that are more business-focused. I've also heard interviews with the CEO of Webflow they want to eventually let users build full web apps within only Webflow, so I think that will happen eventually :)
I get what you mean.
Tough to get good design on Bubble that’s why I ended up on Webflow. But love that Bubble said they’ll be stepping up their ease of design
is the site down? can't seem to access this
Hey just check out that Webplug. It looks easy to integrate. Nice job there
They are going in that direction but yes, Webflow is mostly a design tool and I find that I would have to constantly look for workarounds to create say a marketplace. Bubble is great and probably fills a better role in terms of building an MVP / Prototype but is also less design-focused.
yeah indeed, but webflow seems to have taken over the no code community by large and it has way more financial backing (raised $72 million compared $6 million by bubble). I hope bubble also gets more light.
It should, webflow is just useful for specific usecases. Bubble is kinda multifunctional.
