Is Wordle Dying? How long do you think it will be a thing?
I got tired of texting my Wordle scores in group chats, and thought it would be fun to be able to actually compete with friends/family with scores. So I spent the last 2 weeks building an app where you can create/join leagues and compete with friends in the daily Wordles (you get more points the better your score, it works by texting in your score.)
I just looked up Wordle in google trends and saw that it looks like it's starting to trend down. Just my luck 🙃. I'm not actually upset. I've been using it with my friends and fam and it's still fun. But part of me was hoping I could maybe market it a bit and see if I could get people using it. Curious if ya'll think it's worth sinking the time into.
I play Wordle daily, and use it to refresh my mind. While I never share my scores with anybody, it could be a fun thing to do. So, if you believe you would use the app you create, not to mention a couple of your friends, I would suggest to go ahead and create it. One feature I would have loved with Wordle was to have the link sent to my email daily, so that I would remember about it, as these things eventually fade from mind.
