I launched a newsletter that tells people which Lifetime SaaS deals are actually worth buying
Like many founders, I've bought more lifetime deals than I care to admit.
Some have been incredible investments. Others looked amazing on the sales page but ended up abandoned, limited, or simply not worth the money.
After a while, I realized most deal websites answer one question:
"What deals are available?"
Very few answer the question buyers actually care about:
"Should I spend my money on this?"
So I started LTD Radar, a weekly newsletter where I research the latest lifetime SaaS deals and give each one a clear verdict:
🟢 Buy – Worth the money.
🟡 Buy If... – Good, but only for specific users.
🔴 Wait/Skip – Not mature enough or doesn't deliver on its promise.
For every review, I look at:
Long-term user reviews
Founder responses to customer feedback
Product maturity and roadmap
Hidden limitations
Whether the lifetime deal actually offers good value
I don't want this to become another newsletter that simply copies product descriptions. If I think a deal isn't worth buying—even if it means losing an affiliate commission—I'll say so.
I just published Issue #1 and would genuinely appreciate feedback from people who buy software regularly.
A few questions for the Indie Hackers community:
Would a newsletter like this be useful to you?
What's the biggest mistake you've made buying a lifetime deal?
What information do you wish reviewers included before recommending a product?
If you'd like to follow along, the newsletter link is placed below.

Thanks, and I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
