TBH, that's a lie.
I have a litany of domains that will go unused until I die and their annual $15 fees (now $12 -- thank you Google) finally get rejected by my unpaid credit card.
It's gotten bad as of late -- I started buying 4- and 5-figure domains on credit, figuring it'd motivate me. It hasn't.
I even turned down an offer for one of my premium unbuilt domains. It would have netted me a handsome profit. Perhaps, justified my affliction.
Some collect sneakers. I apparently collect unfulfilled aspirations.
Here's to all who can relate. 🍻
I admit I keep my old projects up for years after I'm done with them. It's for the sentimental value :)
damn. you got me.
i've learned to live with my affliction with $9.15 domains from Cloudflare...cheaper than google..and cheaper to renew than namecheap.
but i don't get five figure offers for domains. where can i sign up to your email list?
Geez! That's a certified domain-addict there. Maybe you need to go to domains anonymous :) Relatable though, domains are fun.
Feel free to signup for my project VCbackME.com if you ever want to develop one of your amazing domains and are seeking VC money to make it happen. :)
How's the project been going?
Thanks for asking. So far I've talked with dozens of founders, published one deck on the website, suggested a few founders go back to re-build their startups. Most importantly, I believe we've really helped a few founders get a far better understanding of how to build startups - all for free of course. Which hopefully has saved them a few years of wandering around being misdirected by clueless or those who just want to take their money.
