It is worth paying even 100$ for a designer

As a solo dev, it is usually the best to pay even 100$ for a designer. Without proper skills your app will never look good enough.

I agree. I am terrible at design. I would happily pay $100 for a design that would most certainly be better than my own, even for an MVP of my app. I know you get what you pay for, so again I would be fine with a $100 MVP design so it looks at least somewhat professional (my design would not). Then as an enhancement later I might hire a different designer to do a more comprehensive design.

On Fiverr it is possible to find some pretty good designers for 100$. Most likely they somehow recycle the work, but for that amount of money it is understandable. Especially if it looks good

$100 you're probably going to get what you pay for. A really decent designer is likely going to be out of a solo dev's budget and assuming you're building an MVP (high quality design is likely to be low priority as long as it's solving the problem) I'd use it as an opportunity to sharpen my MVP design skills! Head over to somewhere like dribbble to get some initial inspo 🚀

I am not a demanding client, thats for sure. But I consider the design I got pretty good for 100$. For sure, the higher price, the better design i should get, sometimes even with proper UX design. But from what I noticed it is better to pay 100$ than design iy yourself if you dont have skills (like me)
