It was the only plan I had — to keep quitting until I found something that made me feel happy to do it every day...

“I’m a big fan of quitters. I remember having to do things as a kid that would give me a pain in the pit of my stomach. I just did not want to do it and it made me feel sick. I’m very curious. I hate doing things that bore me, and I get bored very, very easily. Toward the end of school, I realized that I would be free soon, so I made a deal with myself that if something made me feel that way more than two or three times, I would quit it. It was the only plan I had — to keep quitting until I found something that made me feel happy to do it every day. And that stuck with me. In my 20's, I changed jobs every six months. I had eight or nine business attempts. And quitting them all paid off in the end. I love what I do now because it’s so different every single day. That’s not to say that I don’t have 20 other things that I’m thinking about doing, but I’m happy building what I’ve got right now. I think it’s a worthwhile puzzle, and it keeps me very, very interested.”⠀
