Iterated on the community's feedback, back again. Roast my dev tool's πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» landing page

Hi IH πŸ‘‹

Could you please πŸ”₯ Nudge Notifier for me?

Some things I'm looking to hear about are:

  • Do you understand what the product is?
  • Is the product presented in a convincing way?
  • How does it look?
  • Is the humor distracting?
  • Any other miscellaneous thoughts about the product or the website.

In return, I'll happily review your page as well.

    Hey Amber!

I checked your website and here are my notes:

    1. Even I'm not your target customer, I understand your landing page and what the product is. That's a good sign!

    2. Because I'm not your target customer, I don't know if your proposition is presented in convincing way. But you convinced me to try your product if I would need your solution.

    3. I like that I knew what is it about from hero section where I see product in action and short description "Easy Slack Notifications for Terminal Commands" - that's the main goal of hero section - scrolling down, not leave a website.

    4. I'm not sure the middle part - it was confusing for me, and I got more information from the last part of the website - features and FAQs.

    That's it, I guess.

Also, I would like to invite you to our community that we started recently where we will share feedbacks on our products, and help each other this way. You can check it here: https://userdome.com/

    Good luck with your product!

Thanks for the review @jacobp! and thanks for showing me Userdome, let me check it out soon.

For 4, could you please expand on what you found confusing? Was it the first two lines/attempt at humor that was distracting?

Yeah, I'm not native english speaker so I had to read it twice to understand it properly. What you're trying to say by that. But it could be only my issue with my not so good english. :)

Having your product name over a scrolling / animated picture of mobile phone is very awkward and doesn't really tell me anything about your product. You are literally wasting the best real estate of your website (the over the fold area) to display this massive animation of pictures smartphones and I fail to see why you would want to do this.

Only after I start to scroll down, I start to understand what this product is about. I don't know many people would take this time to scroll down to figure out what this is.

Using align:center texts like this is rather awkward. And it's not great for convincing me to want to read the texts, either.

"Get limited-numbered early access, and join 163 other developers in getting notified about release: " - As a user, I don't really care how many other developers are in your mailing list already. What I care is why should I join? What incentives are you going to provide me to join? Am I getting an early adopter pricing, for example? Your pitch doesn't say anything of that sort, so there is currently zero incentives for me to sign up to your newsletter.

Furthermore, there is no indication what are you going to do with my email address if I do sign up, and who are you going to share it with. There is not even any Privacy Policy anywhere.

The Terms of Service doesn't tell who are you, such as where is this business registered to. The terms refer to some mysterious developer, but doesn't even name that person.

I think you have some good ideas in regards of your product, but this landing page needs a lot of work in my opinion.
