Hey guys,
Like many people here, I am also a tech who is okayishh at building apps. I was really excited about building my app, I knew that validating before writing any code is really really important but still I thought that if I can build my app itself in a few weeks and give them to users, I can get better validation (big mistake). I soon realised and improved on it. But after talking to literally hundreds of founders I realised its not just me, but almost every tech founder.
So I created Promotee
It's an AI engagement tool for Reddit. It basically engages on Reddit by commenting on posts in your targeted subReddits on autopilot. And that too in $7/month.
I have been generating about 7-10 leads daily now through my SaaS itself, it really is giving me the value and hence I share it here with you guys. I have not been actively marketing it earlier but now I thought of just sharing it after running it closely with about 30 customers and validating that indeed it gives the value it promises.
Feel free to start a discussion and your thoughts on my product, thanks !!
While the value is great for the user, I can't help but fear that mass adoption of tools like these could leave us in a sea of ai generated content where nothing is real nor authentic. Great product though, haha
Hey I do agree, but I believe it's inevitable. What I intend to solve is that people who are not good at engaging on a social media like Reddit can just have pre-ready conversations to have.
This is a great idea and definitely a pain point I am facing in my current position. I would like to see where it goes in terms of other platforms and social medias in the future.
Thanks, what stops you from signing up?
checking this out right away. I would highly recommend you to get a American Voice over with the entire video being less than 2 minutes. This video looks like a product demo.
I understand, did you signup?
Do you recommend this to a first timer on reddit. What do you think I should do before I jump into this on reddit `
Well, without context can't really help you. [email protected], just book me in for a meeting. I can understand your business and help you with the best steps. And yes, it's independent of you buying the subscriptiion or not haha
Will try this today
Please let me know if you need any kind of help
Great tool bud! Do we have the command over the keywords to be used in the comments? or the frequency of the commenting?
Not the frequency yet - its 10 comments a day max, but you can give specific instructions on what you want to comment
Really great idea! How has the semi-recent Reddit API change affected your codebase?
Congratulations on creating Promotee! It's impressive to see how you've identified a common pain point among tech founders and developed a solution to address it. Your journey highlights the importance of validation and iterating based on user feedback—a valuable lesson for anyone in the tech industry.
Promotee's approach of using AI to engage with targeted subReddits on autopilot is intriguing, especially considering its affordability at just $7/month. The fact that you've been able to generate 7-10 leads daily through your SaaS demonstrates its effectiveness in providing tangible value to users.
I'm curious to learn more about the user experience and how Promotee's AI engagement tool distinguishes itself from other similar solutions. Additionally, hearing about your insights from working closely with 30 customers and validating the product's value adds credibility to your offering.
Overall, Promotee seems like a promising tool that addresses a real need in the market. I look forward to seeing how it continues to evolve and gain traction in the Reddit engagement space. Keep up the great work!
Hey GPT
I'd suggest you listen "Why Google Search feels like it’s gotten worse" by the Decoder podcast. I think it's relevant when talking about apps like this. Unfortunately, I can't link to it here.
Sure I will
Nice job, automations have huge demand, we have a SaaS around social covering 13 platforms (not reddit) launched in 2019-2020. I built it originally for myself in 2017 after getting to $100k in a month on high ticket sales via Facebook Messenger. :)
Not sure how long lasting such tools are in general. There is no incentive for a platform to allow such tools once they gain some traction.
That's an interesting view-point. With the adoption of AI generated content, how social media is gonna take it is still in question
I'll try it
Did you sign up?
Clicked because the title seriously resonated with my current stage of indie hacking 😅
Going to try this product later today – it it works, that'd be huge! Manual marketing and cold emailing takes about 100x the energy of coding, and that's coming from someone who studied marketing at school, lol.
Really excited to try this. Best of luck with your product, Bahauddin!
Hey @BahauddinAziz, quick update. When I went to pay, it rejected both cards I tried to use. Both should have had more than enough available credit and I use them regularly, so I think it's an issue with the system. Not sure if this helps - but it was a regular credit card and another was a prepaid Mastercard, and both are from Canadian banks.
Hey I am sorry that you are facing this issue, let's sit on a call and get this fixed
This is incredible. I'm excited to check it out.
did you signup?
Not yet. It's been on my to-do. I had a look at Promotee and am psyched about what it does . My instinct was to sign up immediately, but I want to sign up for reddit first and get a feel on where my audiences may be.
Perfect
How long before reddit blocks this? As a reddit user AI generated comments would devalue the benefit of the platform content for me.
