Hey Smart Tech Solar, thank you so much! Really appreciate the kind words, and I'm thrilled the name "PromptPilot" resonates with you – conveying that sense of power and control was exactly the goal.
That's a fantastic question. Reflecting on the whole process, my biggest learning has probably been that your community and your launch materials are as important as your code.
Initially, I was hyper-focused on the features. But the feedback I received right here on Indie Hackers fundamentally shaped the product's direction and messaging. It wasn't just bug reports; it was deep insights that pushed me to think bigger (like the whole "Prompt Ops" concept for teams).
On a more tactical level, I learned not to underestimate the effort required for the launch assets. We spent a ton of time creating and polishing the demo videos and crafting the story in the Maker's Comment. On launch day, those assets are your product's first impression.

Beyond PH, we're focusing on a few key areas:
Organic Growth (SEO & Content): We're committed to building out valuable content around prompt engineering on our blog and continuously optimizing for search. The goal is to become a go-to resource.
Community Engagement: Actively participating in communities like IH, Reddit (relevant subreddits like r/PromptEngineering), and others where our target users hang out. We believe in providing value first.
Product-Led Growth: Continuously improving PromptPilot based on user feedback. A product that genuinely solves a problem and offers a great experience will naturally encourage word-of-mouth.
Exploring Potential Partnerships: Longer-term, we'll look into collaborations with complementary tools or content creators.
It's definitely an ongoing process of experimentation and learning. Appreciate you bringing this up!

Currently, an account is needed to use both Quick Pilot and Guide Pilot. This primarily allows users to save their work in a personal workspace, ensuring their valuable prompts aren't lost and can be revisited. It also helps us manage resources and plan for more personalized features down the line.
We understand the desire for a frictionless trial, and it's definitely something we've considered and will continue to evaluate as we gather more user feedback. For now, the signup process is designed to be quick so you can get started as soon as possible.
