Hey everyone! I've been lurking here for a while and figured it's time to actually say hi and share what I've been working on.
I'm Linoy, solo founder of Sorti. I started building it in 2023 because I was drowning in my own saved content. Screenshots of products I wanted to buy, recipes I saved from Instagram stories, links from TikTok I'd never find again, travel spots friends sent me on WhatsApp. Sound familiar?
The thing that frustrated me most: I'd save something with full intention to use it later, then completely forget it existed. The screenshot would get buried under 200 other screenshots. The bookmark would disappear into a folder I never opened. The Instagram save would get lost in a scroll of 500 other saves.
So I built Sorti.
It's an AI app that automatically organizes everything you save on your phone. You share a screenshot, a link, a photo, whatever, and the AI categorizes it instantly. Recipes go to Recipes. Products go to Shopping. Travel spots go to Travel. No folders to create, no tags to assign, no manual work.
Where it stands now:
What I've learned building this:
The hardest part wasn't the AI. It was figuring out what people actually do after they save something. Turns out, the answer for most people is "nothing." They save with intent and then lose track. The real product insight was that organization isn't the goal. Action is. Sorti isn't really an organizer. It's the bridge between "I want this" and actually doing something about it.
Why I'm here:
I want to connect with other founders building consumer apps, especially in AI and mobile. I'd love feedback, honest takes on what resonates (and what doesn't), and to learn from people who've been through the growth phase I'm entering now.
If you've ever felt the pain of a camera roll full of screenshots you can't find or links you sent yourself, I built this for you. Happy to answer any questions about the product, the journey, or the decisions I've made along the way.
Would love to hear: what's the most random thing you've screenshot'd and then couldn't find later? I'll start: a recipe for a specific type of bread that I saw in someone's Instagram story at 2am. Took me three weeks to find it again.
Amazing developed to solve real pain point, but I’m curious to know how user’s privacy are handled.
Hey Linoy! Ive always looked for a product like this. Just curious, how does Sorti access your data and filter your gallery? Does it save it externally in any way? Is it used for anything other than what its intended? Just curious about the privacy side of things. Ill definitely give it a download!
