I've been building Hitechies for 3 days straight. Here's everything that happened.

Three days ago I decided to stop treating Hitechies as a side project and start treating it like a business.

Here's what day 1 to 3 actually looked like — the wins, the broken things, and the stuff I didn't expect.

What Hitechies is

A tech media site covering AI, crypto, cybersecurity, code, and startups. Deep analysis, honest takes, and 21 free browser-based developer tools. No ads, no paywalls, no data uploaded to any server.

I've been running it casually for a few years. Three days ago I decided to go all in.

Day 1

Wrote and published 3 long-form articles. GPT-5.5 vs Claude Opus 4 — a real testing comparison, not a benchmark regurgitation. Bitcoin's 37% crash from ATH — 6 factors, 6 interactive charts, actual data. A developer tools article covering 20 free tools with real scenario callout blocks.

Set up the tools hub properly. Fixed internal links. Wrote all the Ghost metadata I'd been ignoring for years.

Day 2

Built a Batch Token Sender from scratch. Lets you send ETH or ERC-20 tokens to hundreds of wallets in one transaction. Fee model: 0.1% of total sent. The fee recipient wallet is secured through a Cloudflare Worker so it's never exposed in source code.

Wrote 2 more articles — Rust quietly taking over AI infrastructure, and the EU AI Act compliance guide for startups.

Started posting on Reddit properly. The Stripe webhook security comment on r/netsec got 17 upvotes organically. Small number but it was genuine.

Discovered the SSL checker tool was silently failing. Nobody told me. Fixed it by rebuilding it from scratch.

Day 3

Fixed the homepage SEO — the meta title was just "Hitechies". Zero keyword signals. Changed it, added meta descriptions, fixed all 5 tag pages. Took 15 minutes and should have been done years ago.

Scheduled the tools hub on Product Hunt for Tuesday May 12.

Submitted to DevHunt and started working through other directories — AlternativeTo, StackShare, Indie Hackers.

Set up Zapier automation so every article auto-posts to X and Facebook the moment it goes live.

What surprised me

How much was already broken that I just hadn't noticed. The SSL checker. The meta titles. The podcast section showing 2022 episodes as "NEW." You don't see these things until you look properly.

How fast things compound. Three days of consistent posting and the Reddit karma is building, the articles are getting indexed, the tools are getting bookmarked.

How much of this is distribution. Writing the article is maybe 30% of the effort. The rest is getting it in front of people.

What I'm figuring out

The tools hub is the most interesting asset. 21 free tools means 21 SEO entry points, 21 reasons to bookmark the site, and a natural internal link structure. I'm adding one tool per week.

The Batch Token Sender is the first tool that earns directly. I'm thinking about which other tools could have a clean fee model that users understand and don't resent.

Honest numbers

Traffic is early. Product Hunt is scheduled. Reddit karma is building. Three articles are live and indexed. The SSL checker works now.

I'm not going to pretend it's blowing up. It's day 3. But the foundations are solid and I'm shipping every day.

If you're building in the dev tools, crypto, AI, or security space — I'd love to connect. And if you've used any of the tools and have feedback, genuinely want to hear it.
