I've been working in tech for 10 years as of today

Exactly 10 years ago today—May 10, 2010—I accepted my first job in tech, signing on as Buildium's first full-time marketing hire. I've woken up every day since then focused on building SaaS start-ups.

The tech industry is special in so many ways, but it's also an echo chamber and an industry that's very easy to get lost in. I've shared my macro-level observations of what it's like to work in tech below.
