I've built a community resources directory site. What next?

I've been working on Uncommunity which is a directory of resources and tools that anyone can look up to and build better communities.

List of best books you can read, list of podcasts that you can listen to, list of community experts that you can follow and make smarter decisions while you are building a community. It's been 3 months since it's live.

Some stats:

  1. We've had at least 400 users visiting Uncommunity every month.
  2. We've got 200 subscribers in our mailing list on Substack and have been sending a weekly newsletter for 10 weeks.
  3. We're on Twitter with 177 followers.

I've seen a lot of similar websites in nocode space where people have build directory of resources/tools.

Our goal with Uncommunity is to help people make better decisions with whatever we are curating. We want to provide value so that people come back to Uncommunity. Currently, it's just a static resources website but we want to figure out how to help.

I would love to hear thoughts and ideas on how we can provide value other than this static website. If you've built similar directory websites then I would love to talk to you and hear more.

Let me know what you think.

I like what you are doing with Uncommonity. Some feedback:

    1. The animation for the icon on the top right of each card - which shows that clicking will take me to an external link - is very distracting. It would be better to have the icon appear / disappear rather than have the animation.
    2. I know this might not be easy, but it would be really nice to see any stats / data around the popularity of each resource. Maybe number of subscribers, followers, anything that could help me understand which are the most used resources.

Thanks for checking out. These are great points. 1 and 2 both.

Regarding your 2 point we're currently working on updating this and create upvote functionality on each product. This will give a user clear understanding of which toolsor platform is better based on no of upvotes.

Just figuring out what makes people come back. It's all trial and error.

Came across this tweet by Jack Butcher and he's right.

Half the battle of creating value is convincing yourself you’re valuable.

Hey Rafy, really great site you have there. Can I check which no-code tool are you using to build this?

Thanks, Yun. Appreciate it. I'm using Webflow for Uncommunity. Along with it, there is Jetboost and Typeform for search and collecting data.

That's a sleek UI! If you want to add more tools/ books, we provide the databases for the same. Checkout - https://indiedata.app

A tiny website feedback for indiedata: I went on your homepage and got confused a bit. I tapped on choose the "companies" database option and nothing happened. The same happened when I tapped on others. I realized later that info box was opening below but it is not visible.

That's interesting and a lot of data sets. I've been curating all data myself with a help from friend but if I need an extra hand I'll let you know.
