I've improved my landing page & copy after getting feedback from the IHs community - Here is the before & after πŸš€

Hey Indie Hackers,

I'm a full-time Mama & part-time Indie Maker. I'm building Homeskoolers.

A few days back I announced my project my project & asked Indie Hackers for feedback on my landing page.

I got solid feedback in the past few days & yesterday I spent 2-3 hours improving my landing page. Here is the before and after of the page.

Before:
Imgur

Adding images is crazy here. -_-

And, after
Homeskoolers

I've added more details about the platform with an updated copy.

I'm loving this building in the public approach. Share ideas, initial designs, MVP & getting feedback from the community is absolutely a fun way to work.

A big thanks & soutout to all those amazing IHs who gave their feedback.

    Looks great!

Where do you get the curriculum that you use? I'm just curious.

      Hey Brandon,
There are many curriculums and online resources available for homeschoolers on the internet. Homeschoolers usually choose one after getting feedback from local support groups.

      1. 1

Ah, I see. Which one do you use? I'm just curious bc I've never looked at home schooling curriculums before and wanted to check one out!

          Hey Brandon,
We haven't started homeschooling our son yet. He is just 2.5 years old and we have no plans to start any curriculum or planner until he turns 4.
So I can't tell you about the curriculum atm.

I'm building this platform to help parents like you and me to choose a better curriculum and resources based on community reviews. :)

Haha you're thinking ahead! Bravo! πŸ‘

Why did you decide to homeschool your son? Were you homeschooled yourself? (Please don't feel any pressure to answer this if you feel it is too personal!)

            1. 2

              Yes, I'm planning things ahead.

              I was not homeschooled.
I've decided to homeschool my son for a few reasons.

              • I want him to learn for the sake of learning not for the sake of getting scores and grades
              • No judgments, No gradings, No assessments - No Pressure
              • To be able to choose/design a relaxed and flexible curriculum
              • To help him have a better social experience
              1. 1

I think that last point is really interesting. How do you intend to create better social experiences for your son with homeschooling?

That looks amazing, Syeda! Great work and awesome idea. Have you been using any other platforms or communities for building in public?

      Hey Mekkie, Thanks.
I use Twitter & Indie Hackers only. :)
