I've left Hotjar to work full-time on Everyone Hates Marketers

I've been lurking on IH for years... and finally decided to leave Hotjar to fight marketing bullshit full-time with Everyone Hates Marketers.

After nearly four years of working on the podcast while at Hotjar (reaching nearly 1M downloads and making a lot of friends in the process), I am ready to give it all my attention and become a full-time creator.

Here's the biggest lesson I've learned about myself over the last few years: I love to create stuff that radically stands out and help others do the same.

It makes me feel good, it gets results, and it's the antidote to marketing bullshit.

Which is why it's time to double down on it.

Here's a start...

I’ve selected 15 students to take part in Stand The F*ck Out, an 8-week program with weekly pre-recorded lessons and live group calls for folks who want to radically stand out from a sea of competitors.

It’s starting in early October.

I've charged $500 per seat and made $7,500 by sending an email to my list of 1,900 subscribers, which I'm very happy about:

But there's much more to come... and I will be posting here much more often.

Here's an article with more context about my decision: https://www.everyonehatesmarketers.com/leaving-hotjar

I'm here if you have any questions or ideas for me!

hey hello! are you based in SF? Congrats on your initial success! this is a great start!

Wait, you interviewed Rand Fishkin on your site?! and Neil Patel?

Your content actually looks good. I'm surprised I've never heard about your site. I can see this becoming BIG!

I'm friends with Sam over at The Hustle / Hustle Con / Trends.co. Would like to intro you to him sometime if you think there's synergy!

I'm in Dublin, Ireland. It's been 4 years in the making. I've been in touch with Sam's PR person a few times but never got to schedule something. I'd love an intro.

Thanks for asking. To be honest, the best thing would be to spread the word about the podcast.
