HELP ME redesign our website and messaging! 🙏
We've had a bit of a struggle with our homepage messaging, which has led to us leaving quite a bit of growth on the table.
Our current messaging is "Turn your written content into videos." (you can check it out here: videodeck.co)
It's unclear.
Lots of people associate us with software or an AI solution, which is incorrect. 😅
And it's also pushing just one of the services we offer.
Turning written content into videos is what we've done the least, actually.
⭐️ Most of the videos we've created are:
So, we need to switch it up, so people know what exactly we offer exactly.
We're humans, not robots. And we want to make your videos for your YouTube channel, website, etc.
We want to help B2B companies kickstart their video presence and grow their business through video content marketing.
Which messaging is clearer for what we have to offer?

Hey Heleana,
I love the concept of Videodeck because it's something I didn't think of when I was running an video production house :D
Anyways - I wrote the homepage copy for Videodeck, left some comments as well. Take a look at it and let me know what you think...

Took a look at your page, and thought what you offer is nice, but yes I agree the messaging can be improved. I'm going through a similar issue with video tutorials being my main business and my landing page doesn't really push that hard enough. Your agency seems great and I made a loom video (20 minutes) walking through a few potential edits and confusing parts of your page.
It took me quite a long time to understand your pricing and I read it and then made the video. In the video I get surprised at the fact that I mistook your pricing.

Hope you enjoy the video, and hope it can be helpful.
One huge opportunity I saw, which I go over in the video, is to create PDF docs that help people get something after they've read your whole site, and take them from nothing to being able to afford $10k of video services you provide.
wow, Andrew. I'm speechless.
Thank you so much for taking the time to record the video and roast our page haha. This is exactly what we needed, and you confirmed all the doubts and questions I had about our current website.
The "sounds like work" part was something completely new to me. I agree 100%, and I will change it in the next iteration. The funny part is that the way you described it (where we do it for the client) is exactly how we do it at the moment.
It was funny/sad to see you go through the pricing and see your confusion. I realized that it's so unclear, and I want to change that as well.
(btw we are adding a more affordable option)
So, we are working on a redesign as we speak that addresses almost all the things you've addressed in the video.
Bettersheets looks awesome btw. If I can do anything for you I'd love to help!
Also, you have a pending friend request from me on LinkedIn, let's connect!
I'd love to pick your mind about our new design and a spreadsheet-based content project we are launching.
Just been working on my own page in the same way myself. It's always easier to give advice than to actually do it on my own page. So I learned a lot about myself when doing that video. I myself have to hammer in that there's videos on my page. Watch this video. watch a video. free videos... see the video. check out this video. It doesn't do that right now. I wish my site did. It would help a lot of retention.
What about 'You make the product, we make the video.' but product gets replaced by other types of videos (explainer, demo, etc.). And for each one, there is a clear example of the video that shows what your team did?
You could go so far as to highlight the client and call out what your team did for each video.
second option looks more clear to me.
That's the one I'm inclining toward as well. Thank you!
For some reason the audio and video of the samples on your homepage aren't in sync, which makes them look fake / AI generated. Might be something with the video player you use?
OMG I think you might be right. I think it's off by a few milliseconds.
They are on YouTube so this shouldn't happen. I will try with a different video player as well.
Thanks a lot!
