Quick context:
The founder hasn't run startup before. But he has few offline businesses and now wants to go bigger with startup. He worked in finances so he understand it's a risky investment.
He wants to build an app for Golf Court booking as he's much into Golf and experienced issue firsthand. I've recommended him to close few deals first for his friends / clients, even without the product build.
It looks like he's committed to manual approach now!
