I've recorded the first onboarding Loom for my product. It took me 2+ hours and lots of pain. And I still don't like it.

Hi Igor, a bunch of feedback, which would in my opinion improve the overall video:

• Understand what you are trying to achieve with this video and work back from your desired end point.
• Use a separate light source from your screen. Try natural light if that's an option.
• Slow down. You are going like a machine gun. It takes a moment for everyone to catch up. You can significantly improve by just slowing down a bit.
• Start the video from an empty state — when I go to your product, it is empty. I don't have anything there. Start from there and show me how to add what.
• Arrive to the "Aha" moment as soon as possible. Go into other stuff later.
• Don't talk about how people can optimize what. That's not what your product does. Talk about what your product does and not about other stuff.
• Place your face video bubble to somewhere that you won't need to replace.

My first (and only) demo recording experience was terrible. And here are some tips that can make it easier:

1. When you lost - do not record it again from the very beginning. Repeat a phrase, or even a single word or action. Repeat at least 10 times and don’t freak out - then you can cut out a good moment.

2. You can record your face only at the beginning, then the remaining content will be recorded with less stress.

3. No matter how easy and learned the plan might seem - relax. Something will still go wrong and that's okay.

4. Forgot about something? You can always record this moment again and glue the fragments together. Or record the missing content by voice over in a video editor.

5. Please don't spend too much time choosing a background soundtrack (if needed). I spent over an hour on this in order to eventually leave the very first selected sound.
