After gathering some feedback from all around the web - including the IH community - I've finally redesigned the landing page for CodeWrite - (the best blogging tool for developers)
Considering all the feedback, I've improved on a few things:
- the general design remained unchanged (it was pretty good already)
- main page's images were replaced with short videos showing CodeWrite in action;
- all the text and CTA were changed to be more succinct and direct;
- dedicated pages were added for sections like download, changelog, or pricing;
- toolbar and footer were upgraded with dedicated mobile variants and more content;
- the PWA and hosting underneath were changed to be more reliable.
The only thing that I haven't tackled yet is the proper documentation / detailed feature overview. But as it requires more time, I decided not to wait with publishing what I already have.
So, overall, I consider this a worthy upgrade and I feel it's time to give back.
To say "thank you" to the amazing IH community that gave me direction in my redesign, I'll share my experience and knowledge with you all by roasting your landing page!
Rules are simple:
- check out CodeWrite's redesigned landing page, and potentially my blog to get a sense of what kind of "designer" I am.
- you can, but don't have to leave feedback about my redesign
- remember that I'm just a freelancer with his own style, not any "roasting professional", and you don't have to agree with anything I say
- remember that all I want is to give you useful feedback. Don't take this roast as too serious, let alone offensive - that's not the point.
- leave your landing page in the comments, with a quick description of your product and - of course - a link
Also, if you're a blogging developer and are interested in checking out CodeWrite - use the code redesign to celebrate with me and get CodeWrite for as little as $2.10/month or $21/year (30% off).
I like your landing page! I would still try to elaborate on your claim that CodeWrite is the "best" blogging tool for developers.
I know your entire landing page is kinda meant to showcase what makes CW the "best", but I think you cold come from an angle where you and pick one specific aspect of your value prop and you try to communicate that to people. Is it the fastest to deploy? The easiest to setup? I think you see where I am going with this...
If you want to give me your feedback, here is my landing for my SaaS Adflow.ai—which also has a blog 😃.
Hi @lorenzosignoretti
Thanks for your feedback. CodeWrite doesn't have much to do with deployment, but I see what you mean. It's a matter of adding more content, which the future docs / detailed feature overview will do.
As for your landing page - looks really cool, I love it! Can't really notice any big drawbacks, so I'll just nitpick a few things:
Those really are nitpicks, but maybe you'll find some of them helpful. Overall, great design.
Thanks, I am constantly tweaking things around to see what works better. I'll experiment with your suggestions 💪
