Job Board workflow question

Hey y'all -

I am trying to get started (after much analysis paralysis 😂) on a niche Job Board as a project.

Wondering if anyone has any feedback on the below workflow I am brainstorming, specifically around viability for SEO and any other pitfalls.

Stack

  • Job Sourcing: Google Jobs (via SERPApi)
    • Will also allow user-submitted jobs when I get traffic, ideally this becomes main source vs. publicly scraped jobs. This is also the monetization (e.g. pay to post)
  • Back-end DB: Airtable
  • Front end: WebFlow or Glide Apps

The front-end is where I am getting tripped up a bit.

I love that glide apps reduce the 'design' space to something extremely simple, and the modular components are super easy to set up. Webflow seems like I can't allow user filters and some of the more dynamic stuff I'd like to have.

However - SEO is apparently tough with Glide because of it being a Progressive Web App.

Does anyone have any suggestions on if the difference is enough to matter? I'd think SEO is crucial for a job board, so maybe I need to stick with a traditional website like Webflow for google indexing, etc.

Thanks!!

Plugging in Flezr NoCode Builder that works with Google Sheets - Yes, you can build job boards, listing sites, complex data-rich websites.

Going to answer my own question here, lol. 😂

Seems as though SEO is basically do or die with a job board. So a PWA is probably not a good idea, especially because indexing specific jobs is crucial for rankings.

@marty has written an amazing post in this regard that basically answered exactly what i needed....

Maybe have a look at spreadsimple (Google sheets) as frontend?
