JoBound

Hey all, I recently launched JoBound.

I used apps that scour the web for job postings and they helped me land interviews… until the posts went stale.

I only saw posts that were days old and rarely at that. That meant the interview stopped.

I wanted to bring back that super power for a while. But one night I cracked it. I figured out how to get the data I need fast and for cheap. So I worked on it and worked on it and worked on.

The results blew me away at first. I had a working prototype for my own use after a weekend and it… was already better than anything I’ve tried, by a lot. I had more relevant job posts in just a few days. I was very happy with myself.

So I found more and more sources of data and made it better and better. I made what I think is a super quick way to search through relevant jobs, with more of them and discovered more quickly than any other product out there.

Finally, I decided to productize it and that’s kind of where I am in the journey so far — working on the next steps.

Love the origin story, and I really like the animated logo. It gives the product a modern, dynamic feel.

One security question: since you’re aggregating job data from multiple external sources, how are you validating and sanitizing incoming listings to prevent malicious or injected content from affecting users or your own system?
