Join us for Zoom Demos and Skillshare (#8) on Saturday (4/11 11AM PT)
Hey IH!
This will be our 8th week in a row meeting up and I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has attended a session so far! [1]
Now is also a good time for reflection and to answer the question "Why is this valuable?" As I see it, the value of these hangouts has emerged primarily in three forms:
- Friendly banter between builders (combat loneliness)
- Demos (to share what you're working on, get a sense for what's exciting to people, maybe get a beta tester or two)
- Requests for expertise and skill share (Anyone here know to do X? Unexpected collaborations have already emerged from this)
Connection, Demos, and Skill Share are what I believe these sessions do best. It's a safe space that facilitates those three attributes, but moving forward, I want to explicitly emphasize the Demos and Skill Share. Thus the agenda will look like this:
- Introductions and Icebreakers
- Demos
- Requests for Expertise/Advertisements of Expertise (aka Skill Share - the default expectation is that money will trade hands, unless a perfect skill for skill swap is found)
- General questions/hangout
