Journey to $150 a month with an expired domain and growing 🚀

We recently did a few experiments trying to find out an expired domain to help us gain some advantages domain metrics-wise so we can monetize faster.

Here's what we did:

1. Bought an expired domain.
2. keyword research to ensure we are targeting the right keywords.
3. Started building the website keeping in mind the website structure stays the same, the content was rewritten.
4. Launched the highest traffic receiving articles first.
5. Launched the website with WordPress.

and BOOM!

Few things to keep in mind ( other than DA/ PA and backlinks ) before you buy an expired domain:

1. Ensure it was spammed or was not penalized by Google, you can check this by looking at the google search results using the query "site:yourwebsite.com"
2. Ensure the domain wasn't 301 permanently redirect to a 301 website, this will already pass the all link juice to another website.
3. Ensure the site wasn't hacked or content wasn't copied/pasted.
4. Check if you take over the domain you/ your team would be able to rewrite and generate more value out of the expired domain and it's worth the investment?

PS: I couldn't figure out why the traffic drops every Saturday/Sunday.
