While there are projects like create-react-app, gatsby, or next.js which abstract this choice away, I am sure many of you have had to work on projects where you were in charge of the build process and had to choose a bundler. Having only worked with webpack on serious projects, I'm curious what other bundlers you have used and which one you think is the best:
Webpack for applications (industry standard), Rollup for libraries and ESM-first stuff, Parcel if it fits your 0-config desires.
They have different strengths and weaknesses, so get used for different use cases. CRA, gatsby, Next and really all the metaframeworks use webpack. Newer ESM-based tech like snowpack uses rollup.
Depends on the use case... Webpack 5 is also gonna shake stuff up. I like parcel because you can just get started without any setup.
